This overviews how we as humans read information, assimilate information, interpret meaning from it and understand it. It is based on the science of semiotics and intertextuality. In order to develop an excellent search tool we felt it was important to understand these issues at the outset and base our technology on it. Semiotics is all about how we understanding signs, language and information in context.
