5) SOPHIA Patent Search for Pipeline Pilot - Download components for free
SOPHIA Search have teamed up with Accelrys to provide a SOPHIA patent search facility for Pipeline Pilot users. This combines the power of SOPHIA search with the flexible data analytics found within Pipeline Pilot, thus enabling the advanced analysis of patent information. You can specify queries in PP, use SOPHIA’s advanced search functionality to quickly find relevant patent information and then return your results to the PP environment where you can take advantage of its textual analytical tools. These include :
+ Sentence extraction/tagging
+ Part-of-speech (POS) tagging
+ Concept tagging (from dictionaries and ontologies -- OBO, OWL, MeSH, & custom built)
+ Chemical structure tagging (available in the ChemMining product)
+ Regular expression tagging
+ Query Tagging
+ Token (word form) tagging
The SOPHIA Pipeline Pilot protocols are free to download and use but require you to register for SOPHIA’s patent search service before they can be used. You can register for the service for 1 month free here. Please make sure you indicate that you want to use the pipeline pilot protocols when asked as part of the registration process.
The SOPHIA Pipeline Pilot protocols can also be downloaded for free here (zip file). This zip file contains the components, a readme file, a powerpoint presentation on SOPIHA and a SOPHIA help file. But please remember in order to use them you need to register for SOPHIA patent search services.Once registered, the user will obtain an email containing their license key.
